• DDSGC Recital Information:
  • We try to arrange 3 recitals for the children to attend:
    • Thanksgiving weekend (Sunday), approx. 1 1/2 hrs.
    • the first weekend in March, approx. 1 hour
    • the third Saturday in May. approx. 1 1/2 hrs.
  • The costume is used for all performances. (One costume purchase per year)
  • While the recitals are optional, you must “opt out” of the initial order by emailing dubuquedance@gmail.com. Anyone joining dance after Oct 1st should confirm in writing that they would like their dancers in the shows for that term (Sept-May)
• One-Time Fees:
  • Stage fee of $30
  • Costume fee of:  $85.00
  • These fees are automatically deducted with October tuition.
  • Included in your recital/costume fee is one costume and one pair of tights (Please remember that you will need tights to match the color of the dance shoes.  So, white tap shoes need white tights, tan jazz shoes need tan tights…).
  • If you would like to make payment arrangements other than what we have noted, please contact us.
  • Schedules are laid out below, please keep in mind that because we are working with multiple schedules and locations that adjustments may need to be made as we approach the date of the event(s).
  • There are no refunds for any reason.

• The following videos are for your assistance. Please understand that we do not mandate make-up on the dancers, but suggest it. Your dancer will be easier to view with make-up applied, but please do this at your discretion and comfort zone. We do want the female dancers to have their hair in a bun, and suggest practicing this weekly for class. It will then become so easy and basic to you and be a quick process.

      Recital Date, Sunday, November 30, 2025. Performance starts at Noon pm
      • There will be one performance:
      • arrival is 9:30 for “tape & balloon party” (dance Co & comp 4-6, Level C, Level D are all invited for this please), 
      • 11:15 for advance dancers (level b)
      • and 11:30 pm for everyone else.
      • The day of the show the doors open for tickets sales at 11:00 am for anyone who does not pre-purchase their tickets – per the below information.
      • Tickets go on sale in Nov and are only available at the Five Flags Box Office $20a seat ($27for box seats) if you walk into the box office to purchase. >> Click for online Sales
      • Tickets are on sale normally 2-3 weeks before the show (November 13, 2025)
      • You can purchase through Ticketmaster (they have large additional charges and fees).
      • Five Flags Box Office hours are Thursday and Friday 10 am – 5 pm or at the door the day of the show

2nd performance opportunity: your dancer performs at one of the four performances at the Grand River Center, usually the first weekend in March. See your performers time below.

• 2nd set of Performances: Sunday, March 1st, 2025 at the Grand River Center / 
  • Click – tickets available here / Screen Shot your receipt for your ticket – if you buy for family, screen shot your receipt and forward if they do not purchase on their own. You will be marked off and tallied upon entrance to the show.

  • For show choice, please view the document below to see when your performer is scheduled. The first schedule will be posted by Dec 3rd (asking for adjustments to be made by Jan 1st).

• The performance is at the Grand River Center, The tickets are $15 up until the Wednesday before the show and then are $20 the day of the show at the door. Tickets for the Grand River Center are not reservation seating

The 3rd Set of Performances, Five Flags Theater in Dubuque: the 3rd Saturday in May. Performance, arrival, hair and make up information.

  • There will be one performance: arrival is 9:00 for “tape & balloon party” (Adv Dance Co & comp 4-6, Level C, Level D are all invited for this please),  11:15 for advance dancers (level b and up) and 11:30 pm for 30 (preschool) and 45 min (K1) classes. The day of the show the doors open for tickets sales at 11:00 pm for anyone who does not pre-purchase their tickets – per the below information.
  • Tickets go on sale 2-3 weeks before and are only available at the Five Flags Box Office $18 a seat ($25 for box seats) if you walk into the box office to purchase.
  • Tickets are on sale normally 2 weeks before the show. 
    • You can purchase through Ticketmaster (they have large additional charges and fees).
    • Five Flags Box Office hours are Monday – Friday 10 am – 1 pm and 2 – 5 pm or at the door the day of the show
